GREENSBORO, N.C. – Sophomore diver
Ali Watson qualified for the 2021 NCAA Swimming & Diving Championships in platform diving after placing second in the event during the final day of the 2021 Zone B Diving Championships on Tuesday.

Watson finished second in platform diving (547.80) at the Greensboro Aquatic Center to close out Zones, besting her fourth-place finish in the same event a year ago. The Fort Lauderdale, Fla., native also earned second in platform diving at the ACC Championships a few weeks ago.

Watson becomes Duke's seventh qualifier for the women's upcoming NCAA meet, joining freshman
Sarah Foley, junior
Shayna Hollander, freshman
Catherine Purnell, junior
Maddi Pullinger, sophomore
Emma Shuppert and junior
Cabell Whitlow.

Also competing on the final day of Zones on Tuesday was junior
Harel Anolick who reached the finals in one-meter diving and finished with a total score of 583.30.

The 2021 NCAA Women's Swimming & Diving Championships take place March 17-20 at the GAC in Greensboro.
