DURHAM – The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) released its latest team, singles and doubles rankings Wednesday with four Duke women's tennis student-athletes ranked in singles along with six doubles duos.
In singles play, the Blue Devils feature four student-athletes in the top 43 of the rankings with sophomore
Chloe Beck (34), graduate student
Meible Chi (39), senior
Kelly Chen (42) and sophomore
Georgia Drummy (43) listed.
Chi, who hails from Weston, Fla., has paced the Blue Devils on the year with a 19-3 ledger, which includes wins against four ranked opponents this spring. Beck has notched two ranked wins recently on the way to totaling a 15-4 ledger. Chen owns a 10-9 record on the year, while Drummy has come back from an injury to collect a 14-4 mark.
In doubles action, Chi and
Margaryta Bilokin have produced a 10-3 record and are ranked No. 7 nationally. Other ranked Duke doubles tandems include – Beck and
Karolina Berankova (11), Drummy/Berankova (37), Beck/Chi (T40),
Hannah Zhao and Chi (43) along with Chen/Drummy (56).
Chen and Drummy have posted a 13-3 overall and 12-1 dual match mark, while Beck and Berankova have notched a 12-3 overall and 9-2 dual record.
As a team, Duke is currently No. 16 nationally with a 13-5 overall and 8-4 ACC mark. The Blue Devils will close the regular season Sunday, April 18 at 1 p.m., as Duke hosts Wake Forest for senior day at Ambler Tennis Stadium.
