LOUISVILLE, Ky. – For the first time in program history, the Duke softball team had three Blue Devils earn National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-Southeast Region honors, as announced by the organization Thursday afternoon.

Deja Davis headlined Duke as an All-Region First Team selection as a utility player while junior
Shelby Walters and senior
Peyton St. George earned pitching honors at Second Team and Third Team, respectively.
Davis, the leadoff hitter, has consistently led the Blue Devils' offense this season. She carries a team-high .405 batting average, a .693 slugging percentage and .459 on base percentage. The Cerritos, Calif., native has tallied 62 hits, including nine doubles, seven triples and seven home runs, while recording 28 RBIs, 15 walks and 13 stolen bases.
Walters has put together a strong junior campaign in the circle as she holds a 17-3 record with a 1.30 earned run average through 129 innings in 28 appearances. The Cohutta, Ga., native has thrown two no-hitters this season, including one combined, eight complete games and struck out 78 batters. Her ERA ranks 25th in the nation.
St. George continued to shine in her senior season, compiling an 18-6 record in 33 appearances and 145.1 innings thrown with a 2.02 ERA. The Mechanicsville, Va., native has tossed 12 complete games, earned four saves and racked up 184 strikeouts. She ranks 32 nationally in strikeouts and 35th with a 5.26 strikeout-to-walk ratio.
Leading the Blue Devils to a 42-10 record with an ACC Championship and their first trip to the NCAA Tournament, all three were All-ACC First Team selections. The 2021 NFCA All-America teams will be announced on Wednesday, June 2.
Duke opens the Athens Regional tomorrow, May 21, against UNC Greensboro at 12 p.m. on ACC Network.
