GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Onsite NCAA Team Championship preparations have begun for Duke men's tennis.
The Blue Devils arrived in Gainesville on Wednesday evening and held their first practice at the Alfred A. Ring Tennis Complex on Thursday afternoon. The team split their practice sessions between the Perry Indoor Tennis Facility and Scott Linder Stadium due to inclement weather.
Duke is making its 22nd appearance in the postseason tournament in the last 25 years. The Blue Devils are eying their first regional win since 2015 when they defeated South Carolina State and Stanford to claim the regional round in Durham.
Duke will meet South Florida on Saturday in the 2021 NCAA Team Championship first round. A win against the Bulls would eb the Blue Devils' 13th of the year. Should they defeated USF on Saturday, they would take on the winner of the Florida/South Alabama match on Sunday at 2 p.m.
First serve Saturday is scheduled for 10 a.m.
