Although the NCAA Columbus Regional practice round was washed out due to inclement weather, the top-seeded and second-ranked Duke women's golf team was able to walk the course Sunday morning, before practicing at Scioto Country Club.
The Blue Devils arrived Sunday around 8:30 a.m., at the Scarlett Course at the Ohio State University Golf Club in Columbus, Ohio.  The squad walked most of the 18 holes, took some putts on the greens and studied up on shots, before heavy rain and lightning came in the area, which forced the horn to blow and everyone evacuate the course.
Duke then headed to Scioto Country Club where the Blue Devils practiced from the hitting bays for a little while, before returning to the hotel to rest for Monday's first round.
The weather is expected to clear for the regional, which will open Monday, May 10.  With all the rain that fell over the last 24 hours, tee times were pushed two hours later and Duke will open action at 10 a.m., Monday along with Arizona State and Virginia.
Freshman
Anne Chen will get things going for the Blue Devils at 10 a.m., followed by freshman
Phoebe Brinker (10:10 a.m.), senior
Jaravee Boonchant (10:20 a.m.), sophomore
Erica Shepherd (10:30 a.m.) and junior
Gina Kim (10:40 a.m.).
The regional will feature 18 holes each day from May 10-12 with the top six teams advancing to the NCAA Championship in Arizona May 21-26.
