DURHAM, N.C. – The Intercollegiate Tennis Association has announced its list of All-Americans, with the Duke women's tennis program well-represented on the 2021 list. Six Blue Devils have been named All-America, setting a program record.
Senior
Kelly Chen and junior
Georgia Drummy have been named to the women's singles list, while the doubles of teams of junior
Margaryta Bilokin and redshirt senior
Meible Chi and sophomore
Chloe Beck and freshman
Karolina Berankova have also secured All-America honors.
Chen joins Amanda Johnson (2001-04) and Vanessa Webb (1996-99) in the elite club of Blue Devils with four All-America distinctions in their collegiate careers. The Cerritos, Calif., native strung together another strong postseason run, reaching the round of 16 in the NCAA Singles Championship with back-to-back wins over top-10 players.
The remaining five earned All-America honors for the first time in their collegiate tenure. Drummy capped up a big individual week, after setting a career-best individual ranking of No. 12 in the country according to the ITA. The Dublin, Ireland native ended the year winning 10 of the last 11 singles matches across the regular season and postseason play, finishing the year with a 22-5 overall and 18-3 dual match record.
Duke became one of just four teams in the nation with multiple doubles teams earning All-America honors, as No. 9 ranked Bilokin/Chi and No. 14 Beck/Berankova delivered sterling seasons. Bilokin/Chi finished the year with a 14-5 record and a win over the No. 2 team in the nation, while Beck and Berankova closed with an 18-6 record.
The Blue Devils were joined by North Carolina and Virginia as the only programs in the nation to have at least two singles players and doubles teams named All-America.
