Evan Greer will join the Duke swimming & diving program in the fall after concluding his career at Moorestown High School in his hometown of Moorestown, N.J. Greer is primarily a backstroke specialist.Â

"I chose Duke for their superior academic and athletic programs, along with their amazing coaching staff," Greer said.

Greer was tabbed the 12th-ranked prospect out of New Jersey by SwimCloud.com. He swam at Moorestown under head coach Jeffery DeNick and South Jersey Aquatic Club under Peter Holcroft. He lettered all four years at Moorestown.

Most recently, Greer was a two-time Summer Nationals qualifier, competing in the 100-yard and 200-yard backstroke. He was a three-time qualifier at the New Jersey Meet of Champions and reached the finals of the 100 yard backstroke as a sophomore. He was a three-time finalist at the 2019 TAC Titans Blizzard Blitz Meet during his junior year. Greer also competed in the Futures meet his junior season.

Out of the pool, Greer was a member of the National Honor Society and the service society. In addition, he graduated with highest honors, was named an AP Scholar with distinction and awarded the President's Volunteer Service Award.

Greer was born on Feb. 6, 2003. He is the son of Lauren and Chris Greer. He has two siblings, Hayden and Emma. His mom, Lauren, played lacrosse at Franklin Marshall from 1990-94.
