Faris Khan highlighted Duke's impressive opening weekend of fall action as he claimed a singles title at the Duke James Bonk Invitational.

The Delray Beach, Fla., native bested the No. 1 seed in the B draw and fellow teammate
Arturo Kam 6-1, 2-6, 6-0 to wrap up his weekend.
The No. 4 seed in the A draw,
Andrew Zhang, secured a consolation third-place finish after he defeated Fons Van Sembeek of N.C. State in a thrilling three-set match. Zhang dropped the first set 3-6 before bouncing back to claim the second and third frame by 6-4 and 6-1 decisions, respectively.
The freshmen twin duo of
Jake Krug and
Connor Krug beat No. 2 seeded Josh Wilson and Goncalo Ferreira of Liberty to earn third place in the B draw. The Lakewood Ranch, Fla., natives defeated the Flames 6-4.

Wrapping up doubles action for Duke was Kam and
Edu Güell besting East Tennessee State's Frazier Rengifo and Hugo Lobo, 6-3, in round three of the round robin draw. The pair finished 2-1 on the weekend in the round robin draw format.
Duke hits the road for the next round of fall action, traveling to Tulsa, Okla., for the ITA All-American Championships on Oct. 4-10.
