DURHAM – The Duke fencing team swept the ACC Fencer of the Week awards, the conference announced Tuesday.

Lukas Dannull were selected the recipients of the first awards of the 2022 season.
Dannull helped lead the 10th-ranked Duke men to a 3-1 showing, including victories over higher-ranked foes in No. 5 Penn State (16-11) and No. 7 Penn (16-11). On the women's side, Ferrari and the 12th-ranked Blue Devils defeated Haverford and lost to No. 7 Penn State, No. 8 Temple and No. 10 Penn by just one bout each.
Dannull went 7-2 overall on Sunday while Ferrari posted a 10-2 showing. Ferrari secured flawless 3-0 showings against No. 5 Penn and No. 7 Penn State.
Duke will return to the state of Pennsylvania and turn its attention to the Philadelphia Invitational on Jan. 22.
