DURHAM – New York Giants quarterbackDaniel Jones, Arizona Cardinals linebackerVictor Dimukeje, and Kansas City Chiefs tight end Noah Gray, highlighted the 11 former Blue Devils that appeared in the seventh week of play in the National Football League.
On Sunday afternoon in Jacksonville, Jones connected on 19-of-30 pass attempts for 202 yards and one touchdown. In addition, the former Blue Devils quarterback added 11 carries for 107 yards, including a one-yard touchdown with just under six minutes to play to give the Giants the lead for good. The game winning drive was his fourth of the season, which is the most by any quarterback in the NFL this season per CBSSports.com. Offensive linemanDevery Hamiltonalso saw action for the Giants, who are now 6-1 on the year after defeating the Jaguars, 23-17.
Dimukeje, who earned his first career start at linebacker, helped the Cardinals improve to 3-4 on the year after they beat the New Orleans Saints on Thursday night, 42-34. Dimukeje finished with two tackles in the contest.
Also earning the start this past week was Gray, who helped the Chiefs improve to 5-2 on the year following their 44-23 victory over the San Francisco 49ers. Gray registered one reception for 10 yards, which set up a Mecole Hardman touchdown one play later.
