Georgia Tech leads the all-time series between the two schools, 53-35-1. In the last meeting on Oct. 9, 2021, a late score by the Yellow Jackets separated them from Duke, 31-27, at Brooks Field at Wallace Wade Stadium. Duke held a 27-24 lead late in the fourth quarter, but a six-play, 88-yard drive by Georgia Tech found the end zone with under one minute to play. The Blue Devils have started 4-1 for the first time since 2018, and are 1-0 in the ACC for the first since 2019 when they defeated Virginia Tech on the road, 45-10. If Duke wins Saturday, it will mark the Blue Devils best start to conference play since 2015 when they started 3-0.Â
Of the 26 teams nationally with one defeat on the season, the Blue Devils are one of eight whose loss is to an unbeaten squad, joining Kentucky, Maryland, N.C. State, Oregon, South Alabama, Wake Forest and Washington.
