THE OPENING TIP
- A pair of teams that haven't met since three days before Christmas will collide in the ACC Championship Game as No. 1-seeded Duke battles No. 7-seed Virginia Tech on Saturday night in Brooklyn.
- The game tips at 8:30 p.m. ET on ESPN with Dan Shulman and Jay Bilas on the call. On the radio locally, David Shumate and John Roth call the action on the Blue Devil Sports Network from Learfield.
- The Blue Devils own the ACC Tournament's most wins (107), best winning percentage (.704) and most titles (21). Under Mike Krzyzewski, Duke is 69-23 (.750) in the ACCT. Coach K's 15 titles and 22 title game appearances are the most by a coach in ACC history.
- Coach K's .714 win percentage in the championship game (15-6) is the best of any league coach with five or more title game appearances.
- Virginia Tech is making its first appearance in the title game and represents the ninth different foe for Coach K in the title game.

- Duke defeated Syracuse, 88-79, in Thursday's quarterfinals by closing the game on 10-0 run. Friday, the Blue Devils hit 13-of-17 free throws in the game's final five minutes to close out Miami, 80-76.
- Over two games in Brooklyn, Duke has outscored the opposition 27-16 in the games' final five minutes. Duke led Syracuse by two and was tied with Miami with five minutes remaining.
- Freshman Paolo Banchero has recorded two straight double-doubles -- 10 points and 10 rebounds with seven assists and five steals against Syracuse and 18 points and 11 rebounds against Miami.
- Junior Wendell Moore Jr., scored 17 points with a career-high three blocks against the Hurricanes, while freshman AJ Griffin scored a team high 21 points on 4-of-6 from three-point range.
- Duke has had six different scoring leaders over the last six games and five Blue Devils are averaging double-digit points this season.
- In four career ACC Tournament games, Mark Williams is 26-of-40 (.650) from the field and averaging 15.0 points and 11.5 rebounds.
