DURHAM — The honors keep rolling in for Duke women's basketball incoming freshman Ashlon Jackson, as she was selected this week to compete in the Jordan Brand Classic on April 15 at Chicago's Hope Academy. The game will tip at 6 p.m. (ET) in Chicago, Ill.
A native of China, Texas, Jackson concluded her senior campaign at Hardin-Jefferson High School recently with a trip to the state championship contest. She averaged 19.4 points, 5.6 assists, 4.3 rebounds, 4.2 steals and 1.5 blocked shots, while leading her squad to a 35-5 overall record. Jackson collected six double-doubles, 21 games with 20 or more points and four 30-point contests. She notched a season-high 33 points on two different occasions. Â
Jackson tallied 2,683 points, 705 assists, 695 rebounds, 561 steals and 205 blocked shots over her career at Hardin-Jefferson. She led her squad to three straight state tournament appearances. Â
Currently ranked No. 16 in the class of 2022 by espnW, Jackson averaged 22.6 points, 5.8 assists, 4.6 rebounds, 4.9 steals and 1.3 blocks as a junior. She was the 2021 Super Gold and SETCA Player of the Year, is a three-time All-Region and three-time All-State selection. Â
The Jordan Brand Classic, now in its 21st year, hosts elite level female and male high school senior basketball players as they take the big stage in the same city where Michael Jordan cemented his legacy as one of the greatest players of all time. Honoring MJ's legacy, the Jordan Brand Classic is a celebration of the next generation of basketball stars and regularly features the best and brightest high school talent in the country.

Jade Williams (2017),
Elizabeth Balogun (2018),
Nyah Green (2019),
Jordyn Oliver (2019) and
Celeste Taylor (2019). The game has not been played the last two years due to the COVID pandemic.
On March 29, Jackson will also compete in the McDonald's All-America contest at 6 p.m., live on ESPN2. Â
