DURHAM – The United States Fencing Coaches Association (USFCA) has announced the 2022 NCAA Fencing All-Region teams, which was released by the organization Monday.
These awards are determined based on result and field size at each of the NCAA Regional competitions.
Duke earned two first team All-Region selections in
Christina Ferrari (foil) and
Alex Gorman (saber) and one second team honoree in
Terence Lee (saber).
Seven Blue Devils also garnered honorable mention accolades in
Danny Campbell III (epee),
Catherine Flanagan (foil),
Finn Hossfeld (foil),
Stephen Kim (saber),
Allen Marakov (epee),
Ava Navarro (epee) and
Anneke Zegers (saber).
Campbell III, Ferrari, Flanagan, Gorman, Hossfeld, Lee and Zegers qualified for the upcoming NCAA Fencing Championship, which is set for this weekend.
