DURHAM – The 10th-ranked Duke women's tennis team secured its fourth consecutive conference win behind a 6-1 defeat of Clemson Sunday afternoon at Ambler Tennis Stadium.

Duke (15-3, 10-2 ACC) grabbed the early 1-0 lead after scoring a pair of 6-3 wins on the top two courts. Junior Chloe Beck and freshman Ellie Coleman were the first to finish as they defeated Cristina Mayorova and Daniella Medvedeva in flight two. The 43rd-ranked pairing of senior Georgia Drummy and sophomore Karolina Berankova clinched the doubles point for the home team, taking down No. 61 Samantha Buyckx and Ali DeSpain at the top doubles slot.

When action was halted, senior Margaryta Bilokin and graduate student Eliza Omirou held a 5-4 advantage over Jenna Thompson and Lana Sipek on court three.

The Blue Devils extended their margin to 3-0 after No. 7 Beck and Omirou wrapped up their singles matches in quick succession. Playing in flight one, Beck collected her second win of the season in the top slot behind a 6-4,6-0 triumph over No. 107 Mayorova. Omirou made quick work of Sipek on court six as she registered a 6-2,6-0 victory.

Duke clinched the match on No. 99 Jackson's win at number two singles. Taking on Medvedeva, Jackson outlasted her adversary 6-4 in the first set, then rallied from an early three-game deficit in set two to secure the 6-4,6-3 decision.

With the remaining three courts playing out, Clemson (10-10, 2-8 ACC) managed to break through on the scoreboard getting its lone point from Jenna Thompson's 6-4,6-3 win on court three.

The final two matches went the way of the Blue Devils as Bilokin beat DeSpain 6-2,6-3 at the fourth spot, before Coleman rallied from a set down to pull out a 1-6,6-3,6-4 win over Buyckx.
