DURHAM – Duke University women's basketball incoming freshman Emma Koabel participated in the BioSteel All Canadian Games over the weekend, which was held at the Goldring Center at the University of Toronto.
The top 24 male and female players from Canada gathered in Toronto where they participated in practices, scrimmages, skills challenges and a game. Â
Koabel is a native of Port Colborne, Ontario, Canada where she attends Niagara Prep. In Sunday's contest, she represented the White Team and saw action in 35 minutes. Koabel collected 14 points, seven rebounds, four steals and two assists. Koabel hit a game-high three 3-pointers, while her four steals tied for a game high as well. Â
The White Team dropped a 99-98 decision, despite outscoring the Red Team, 31-22, in the fourth quarter. Â
