Lauren Hoffman wrapped up a successful week of competition at the 2022 USA Track & Field (USATF) Outdoor Championships at Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore.
Hoffman competed in the 400m hurdles final on Saturday and posted another strong showing. Racing amid a stacked field, she clocked 56 seconds flat to finish seventh overall.
The Haymarket, Va., native closes the door on a stellar track and field career as a Blue Devil that saw her initially set the school record in the 400m hurdles in 2021 before shattering her own mark four times during the 2022 outdoor campaign. She ran 55.47 seconds in the semifinal race at the NCAA Outdoor Championships to reset her 400m hurdles record for the final time, before producing a run of 55.58 in the final to finish third overall and garner first team All-America status – the highest placement of her career at the national meet.
Hoffman also earned seven All-ACC and four USTFCCCA All-America honors across her five seasons in Durham.
