DURHAM – Duke women's tennis head coach
Jamie Ashworth has announced the addition of three transfers that have signed scholarship agreements to attend Duke and play for the Blue Devils in 2022-23.
The incoming transfers are three student-athletes that have played No. 1 singles at one point in their career – Iuliia Bryzgalova (Penn), Cameron Morra (North Carolina) and Brianna Shvets (Princeton).
"We're unbelievably fortunate to have Iuliia, Cameron and Brianna coming in," said Ashworth. "All three have played high in lineups, have had great success on the national level and have been former number one players at their respective programs. So, we're excited to have that depth in our program. We lost some great, quality players and we feel very lucky to have these three joining our program. All three are going to have tremendous roles and success in the future of this program. We had a really good and exciting year this past season. It wasn't something that we're satisfied with. We want to keep building, getting better, and improving. We really feel that with the addition of these Iuliia, Cameron and Brianna that we're taking steps in the right direction."

Shvets on her decision to attend Duke:
"One of the main reasons I chose Duke was because of the great community around it. I've heard so much about the tennis program and how successful they've been. They just have such a great team culture so that's something that was really attractive to me and made me really excited about the program."
All three newcomers will be attending Duke's Fuqua School of Business. Both Bryzgalova and Shvets will be attending a two-year program at Fuqua, while Morra will be joining the one-year program.
"We've been fortunate to see how they've progressed through college tennis and how they've gotten better," said Ashworth. "We're excited to keep them on the same path and help them become better as individuals and better team players. I know the girls here who have been around for a little bit are excited to have them join our family. It's a great opportunity to blend different personalities, different talents together and I can't wait for them to get started in the MMS program in July. Duke offers a great opportunity for them, and we're excited for them to come here and take advantage of it."
