FORT WORTH, Texas – Sophomore

How It Happened
•    At the 10:25 mark, Duke took a 1-0 lead.
Michelle Cooper grabbed the ball just before midfield and drove all the way down into the box, beating numerous Horned Frogs defenders.  Cooper then slipped the ball in-between TCU goalkeeper Lauren Kellett's legs for her fourth goal this season and 16th of her career.
•    Blue Devil goalkeeper
Ruthie Jones came up big at the 19:31 mark as she made a key save to her left off a shot from TCU's Olivia Hasler.
•    At the half, TCU held a 7-6 advantage in shots marking the second straight match Duke has been outshot in the first half.
•
Ruthie Jones finished the first half with a season-high three saves and went on to finish the contest with five for the match.
•    Jones started the second half with another key save with her left hand at the 47:07 mark off a TCU shot from Camryn Lancaster. Jones deflected the ball over the top of the goal.
•    Cooper put the Blue Devils ahead, 2-0, at the 53:03 as she beat the TCU keeper to the ball, went around Kellett and had a wide-open net.
•    Duke caught the Horned Frogs keeper out of the goal again in the 60:08 mark as Cooper played a ball to freshman
Devin Lynch, who launched a long feed down the pitch to a streaking freshman
Kat Rader.  Rader beat the goalkeeper to the ball and finished easily in the net to put Duke ahead, 3-0.
•    TCU was able to break through in the 68th minute off a corner kick to cut the score to 3-1.  Lauren Memoly found the back of the net.
•    The Blue Devils finished the match with a 13-12 shot advantage.

Quotes
"It is a huge, huge win to bounce back.  It is such a funny game.  We had the ball and we were so good on Thursday night against UCLA and we lose the game.  Now, we come here; we don't have the ball much.  We battled and gutted it out and win 3-1.  This is a crazy sport, but we are very, very happy to have the win the win." – Duke head coach
Robbie Church
