DURHAM – Duke Baseball continues the 2023 season with its first midweek contest of the season on Wednesday, Feb. 22, hosting the Liberty Flames at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park. Admission is free for fans and first pitch is scheduled for 4 p.m. The Blue Devils opened the 2023 campaign with a 2-1 series win over Saint Joseph's last weekend.

- Duke pitchers recorded 41 strikeouts during the first three games of the season, marking the most since 2019 when the Blue Devils staff recorded 49 in a sweep over Lehigh.
- Graduate transfer MJ Metz paced the Blue Devils offense this past weekend, leading the team with a .429 average at the plate. Metz opened the season a triple shy of the cycle. Metz, Alex Stone and Luke Storm all hit home runs for Duke in the series against Saint Joseph's.
