DURHAM- No. 14 Duke softball welcomes No. 6 Florida State to Duke Softball Stadium for the first time in program history. The Blue Devils and Seminoles are set for a three-game series beginning Friday at 6 p.m.
The Blue Devils (25-5, 7-2 ACC) are on a five-game winning streak after sweeping the weekend series against North Carolina and scoring seven unanswered runs to claim a 7-2 victory over Liberty on Tuesday night.
Florida State (24-6, 3-0 ACC) is coming off a three-game sweep in its ACC-opening series against Syracuse over the weekend, outscoring the Orange 23-1. Kathryn Sandercock led from inside the circle after throwing her first career no-hitter in the 10-0 series-opening win. The rest of the Florida State pitching staff combined to allowed just one earned run on two hits throughout the weekend.

INSIDE THE SERIES
Florida State leads the all-time series 7-1 and Friday's matchup will mark the Seminoles first trip to Durham.
Duke's lone win came during the historic 2021 season when the two programs met in the semifinals of the ACC tournament. The Blue Devils defeated the Seminoles, 4-3, after trailing heading into the final frame.

Kyla Morris recorded the game-winning run, 4-3.
The last time the pair met was in the semifinals of the ACC tournament last season where Florida State secured an 8-6 victory.
LAST TIME OUT
The Blue Devils snapped a 15-game winning streak for Liberty, the nation's third-longest active streak, and picked up their fifth consecutive win after defeating the Flames, 7-2, on Tuesday night.

Duke now leads the all-time series 4-2 against Liberty, including both meetings this year after defeating the Flames, 8-5, in eight innings on Feb. 10 in Irvine, Calif.
UP NEXT
The Blue Devils hit the road for another top-25 matchup as they travel to No. 11 Virginia Tech for a three-game conference series. The first pitch is set for 6 p.m. on Friday.
