DURHAM – No. 15 Duke softball travels to Charlotte on Wednesday for a midweek out-of-conference road test.
The Blue Devils (17-4, 2-1 ACC) are coming off a 2-1 series win over Notre Dame last weekend. After dropping a 5-4 decision on Friday, Duke bounced right back with a 6-2 win on Saturday and an exciting 4-3 walk-off victory on Sunday.
Charlotte enters the contest with a 10-8 record after going 1-4 at the GCU/ASU Classic in Tempe, Ariz. The 49ers defeated host No.22 Arizona State but fell to Houston, No. 10 Washington, Grand Canyon and New Mexico.

INSIDE THE SERIES
Duke leads the all-time series with Charlotte, 3-1, after meeting for the first time in 2018. The last matchup came just a year ago with the Blue Devils recording a 9-1 win after five innings at Duke Softball Stadium.

Sophomore
Ana Gold blasted a three-run walk-off home run to push No. 12 Duke past Notre Dame on Sunday afternoon, 4-3.
The rubber match win helped Duke secure the series against Notre Dame (11-6, 1-2 ACC) in the teams' conference-opening weekend.
Gold finished the three-game series going 3-for-8 seven RBI, six runs, two walks and three home runs.

The Blue Devils are back at Duke Softball Stadium when they host Louisville for a three-game ACC weekend series beginning on Friday at 6 p.m. The games on Friday and Saturday will be available on ACC Network Extra while Sunday's contest will be broadcast on ACC Network.
