George Mason (35-22, 16-10 A10) is set to make its NCAA Championship debut against the Blue Devils on Friday. The Patriots enter NCAA regional play after defeating Loyola Chicago, 6-3, to claim the program's first Atlantic 10 conference championship. Four Patriots were named to the All-Tournament team in Carly Cooper, Maddy Myers, Haley Taormina and Aly Rayle. Rayle was also named the tournament's Most Outstanding Player.

BLUE DEVILS IN THE NCAA CHAMPIONSHIPS
Duke softball earned its third-consecutive bid to the NCAA Softball Championships after being selected as the No. 8 seed, the highest in program history, during Sunday night's selection show.
Overall, Duke is 5-5 in the NCAA Championship after reaching the program's first NCAA Super Regional last season. The Blue Devils have outscored opponents at the event 44-32, including their first NCAA run-rule win over No. 19 Georgia in 2022.
Should Duke advance out of regional play, the Blue Devils will host their first NCAA A Super Regional round in program history.
LAST TIME OUT
No. 6 Duke fell, 2-1, in a heartbreaker to No. 3 Florida State in the 2023 ACC championship game on Saturday afternoon at Melissa Cook Stadium.
The Seminoles (50-8) pushed the game-winning run across home plate in the bottom of the seventh to walk it off and claim their second consecutive title. The Blue Devils (45-10) were handed just their 10th loss of the year.

Kamryn Jackson scored Duke's lone run after reaching home on a passed ball to tie the game at 1-1. Jackson led off the frame reaching on a two-base fielding error before shifting to third on a sacrifice bunt from freshman
D'Auna Jennings.
UP NEXT
If Duke advances out of regional play, the Blue Devils will host the winner of the Stanford Regional on May 26-28 at Duke Softball Stadium.
