DURHAM - Duke rowing will welcome another standout recruiting class to the mix for the 2023-2024 campaign as head coach
Megan Cooke Carcagno announced the signing of incoming freshman
Isabella Moreno on Thursday.
Moreno currently attends Montclair High School and serves as a team captain for her high school's varsity rowing team. The Montclair, N.J., native has competed as a key member of the Women's Varsity 4+ lineup that has claimed three championship titles in the Stotesbury Cup, SRAA National Championship and Philadelphia Cities Championship. Most notably, Moreno guided her team to a 17th-place finish in the 2021 Head of the Charles Regatta against a field of 76 teams. Moreno and her team clocked a time of 18:17.172 and finished as the fastest public high school boat in the Women's Youth 8+ event.
"We can't wait to welcome Bella to our rowing family this fall. Bella has an infectious work ethic and cares deeply about bringing others along with her. She will be a force within our program for years to come." - Associate Head Coach and Recruiting Director
