DURHAM – Duke landed 15 selections on the 2023 All-ACC Academic Softball Team, as announced by the conference office Tuesday.

Sarah Goddard,
D'Auna Jennings,
Kairi Rodriguez,
Gisele Tapia,
Aminah Vega,
Lillie Walker,
Kristiana Watson and
Kelsey Zampa received the honor for the first time.
Louisville and Virginia Tech led the league with 16 student-athletes each on the academic team, followed by Clemson, Duke and Pitt with 15 apiece.
Duke's 15 honorees set a Blue Devil program record, breaking the previous mark of eight in 2022.
Academic requirements for selection to the All-ACC Academic Team are a 3.0-grade point average for the previous semester and a 3.0 cumulative average during one's academic career. In addition, student-athletes must compete in at least 50 percent of their team's contests.
The ACC Honor Roll, which recognizes all conference student-athletes with a grade point average of 3.0 for the current academic year, will be released in July.
