Oschell III Selected to USA Collegiate National Team

DURHAM – Sophomore right-handed pitcher Fran Oschell III was selected to the United States Collegiate National Team on Thursday.
Oschell becomes the fifth Duke player to make the 26-man roster for the Collegiate National Team, joining Todd Lamb (1981), Marcus Stroman (2011), Bailey Clark (2015) and Graeme Stinson (2018).
The Collegiate National Team, consisting of 26 of the best non-draft eligible players in the country, begins the 20th USA vs. Chinese Taipei International Friendship series on Friday, June 30 at the USA Baseball National Training Complex in Cary, N.C. The series against Chinese Taipei runs through July 4, making stops at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park in Durham, Artium Health Ballpark in Kannapolis and Segra Stadium in Fayetteville.
The Collegiate National Team will host the opening three games of the 44th USA vs. Japan Collegiate All-Star Championship Series from July 7-9 at the National Training Complex in Cary, while games four and five of the series will be played at Joseph Riley, Jr. Park in Charleston, S.C., on July 11-12.
