James Tallon were named to the D1Baseball All-America teams on Wednesday afternoon. Oschell was tabbed as a third team relief pitcher, while Tallon was named a freshman first team All-American.
Oschell appeared in 22 games for the Blue Devils in 2023, working 39.1 innings. He allowed just 18 hits and three earned runs, to boast a 0.69 ERA on the year. The Phoenixville, Pa., native struck out 66 batters and held opponents to a .133 batting average against.
Tallon, a 6-foot-5 left-handed pitcher, was the Blue Devils' closer this season, breaking the single season saves record in a game against Virginia, his 12th save of the season. In his 23 appearances this season, Tallon posted a 1.64 ERA and allowed just six earned runs to score. He fanned 54 batters to just 11 walks and opponents hit .185 off the lefty.
Tallon was also tabbed by Baseball America this afternoon as a first team Freshman All-American.
