Kenan Hot and freshman
Julian Eyestone have been named to TopDrawerSoccer's Preseason Best XI teams, the organization announced on Wednesday.
Hot earns Third Team Preseason Best XI honors, making the team as one of the four midfielders, while Eyestone is recognized as the lone goalkeeper on the Freshman Preseason Best XI. Hot makes his second consecutive appearance on a TopDrawerSoccer Preseason Best XI Team after being named to the Freshman Best XI Team prior to the 2022 season.
Hot also appears in TopDrawerSoccer's Preseason National Top 100, coming in at No. 32 nationally. The sophomore is joined by his classmate
Kamran Acito, who is ranked 39th in the country, and senior midfielder
Nick Pariano rounds out Duke's representation at No. 44 on the list. The Blue Devils' three top-50 selections are tied for the most for any school in the country.
No. 4 Duke opens its regular season on Friday evening at Koskinen Stadium, taking on Jacksonville at 7:30 p.m. Single-game and season tickets are still available for purchase
