DURHAM — Duke women's basketball signee Arianna Roberson was named to the 2024 Jersey Mike's Naismith Trophy High School Girls Player of the Year Mid-Season Watch List, The Atlanta Tipoff Club announced Tuesday afternoon.
A 6-4 center from San Antonio, Texas and heralded as the No. 19 prospect in the espnW 2024 rankings and the No. 2 player out of the Lone Star State, Roberson signed her National Letter of Intent with the Blue Devils during the NCAA's early signing period this past November. She is putting up 17.3 points and 12.3 boards per game as a senior while helping Clark to a 22-2 overall record thus far. Roberson was also recently tabbed to the 2024 USA Women's Nike Hoop Summit roster, marking her first appearance with USA Basketball.
Tabbed the 2023 San Antonio Express-News Player of the Year and the District 28-6A Defensive Player of the Year, Roberson averaged a double-double of 15.0 points and 11.0 rebounds per game during her junior campaign, pairing that with 4.0 blocks and 2.0 steals while helping lead Clark High School to a 34-3 overall record. This mark included an unblemished 16-0 record in District 28 action, and the UIL Class 6A State Championship – the first in school history for Clark. Roberson received tournament MVP honors following a 24 point, 15 rebound performance in the title game.
