DURHAM, N.C. – The Duke fencing team will begin its 2024-25 slate this weekend at the Temple Open in Philadelphia, Pa.
Competitors in women's foil, women's epee and women's saber will compete on Saturday beginning at 8 a.m. with men's foil, men's epee and men's saber on Sunday at 8 a.m.
The Blue Devils enter their second year under head coach
Omar Elgeziry. Last year, Duke placed 10th at the NCAA Fencing Championship with 73 points. Elgeziry was also tabbed the ACC Women's Co-Coach of the Year.
Following this weekend, Duke will return to action Saturday, November 2 with a home competition inside Card Gym against North Carolina.
