DURHAM – No. 15 Duke men's tennis is set to make its 24th appearance at the ITA National Team Indoor Championships this weekend at two sites in New York City.

The Blue Devils are set to face off against fourth-seeded Virginia on Friday at 9 a.m. in its opening round matchup at theÂ
Philip & Cheryl Milstein Family Tennis Center on the campus of Columbia University. TheÂ
USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center (USTA) will also serve as a host site for some matched during the event.

The winner of the Duke-Virginia match will advance to face either fifth-seed Tennessee or 12th-seed USC on Saturday at 9 a.m. in the quarterfinals.
TOURNAMENT INFO
As a single-elimination tournament, teams will play one match each day with the championship match being played on Monday at noon. However, all teams are guaranteed to play at least three matches over the weekend through either the main or consolation draw.

ITA NATIONAL TEAM INDOOR CHAMPIONSHIPS
The Blue Devils have now qualified for the main national indoor tournament 24 times and are making their first appearance at the event since 2018. Duke has an all-time record of 32-33 at the tourÂnament and won two matches 11 times. The best finishes for Duke have been semifinal trips in 2011, 2006, 2001, 2000 and 1999.

HISTORY WITH NO. 6 VIRGINIA
The Blue Devils and Cavaliers have faced off 99 previous times, including three times last season. Duke holds a slim 52-47 edge on the all-time series, but the Cavaliers have registered six consecutive victories over the Blue Devils, including a 4-0 victory in the 2023 NCAA Super Regionals. Duke's last win over Virginia came on March 30, 2018, following its 4-3 victory in Durham.
SCOUTING THE CAVALIERS
The Cavaliers have won six ITA National Team Indoor Championships, including four straight from 2008 to 2011 and most recently in 2017 when the tournament was held in Charlottesville, Va. Five of Virginia's nine matches this season were against ranked opponents, including three contests against teams ranked in the top five. Senior and No. 56 ranked Jeffrey von der Schulenburg leads the team with 13 singles victories this season. Chris Rodesch, who advanced to the NCAA singles semifinals last year, was ranked No. 2 in the ITA preseason singles rankings and currently sits at No. 19 in the most recent rankings after earning a 3-1 mark this year at the No. 1 position. Inaki Montes De La Torre and Mans Dahlberg also are listed in the most recent rankings for the Cavaliers at the No. 45 and No. 104 spots, respectively. In addition, Montes De La Torre and James Hopper are listed No. 12 in the ITA double rankings.
