DURHAM, N.C. – The Blue Devil swimming and diving team used a balanced effort to post a win over Davidson Friday evening inside Taishoff Aquatics Center.

TOP PERFORMANCES
- Duke claimed the top spots on both the men's and women's sides in the 400-medley relay. The Blue Devil team of junior Ali Pfaff, senior Kaelyn Gridley, senior Martina Peroni and senior Tatum Wall took first (3:38.84), while freshman Gustav Koh, junior Jack Smith, graduate Justin Wong and junior Milo Shue won with a time of 3:19.60.
- In the 1,000 free, senior Audrey Portello claimed first, touching in 10:06.56.
- Freshman Heather White earned the top spot in the 200 free, swimming a time of 1:51.30.
- Freshman Tierney Lenahan (54.15) took first in the 100 back.
- The Blue Devils swept the 100 breast, as Gridley touched in 1:01.30 for the women and Smith won the men's event, swimming a time of 55.65.
- Peroni claimed the 200 fly with a time of 2:01.41.
- In the 50 free, Wall notched a first-place finish (23.05), while Shue posted a time of 20.45 to win on the men's side.
- White earned her second first-place finish of the meet, taking the 100 free with a time of 50.69. On the men's side, sophomore Colin Mikulecky claimed first in 45.88.
- Pfaff won the 200 back (1:57.20), while freshman Cade Anderson captured the men's event with a 1:50.17.
- Portello (2:18.35) and freshman Raphael Wang (2:01.12) swept the 200 breast for the Blue Devils.
- Freshman Neala Klein took first in the 500 free with a 5:04.80.
- Peroni secured her third win of the meet, clocking 55.69 in the 100 fly. On the men's side, sophomore Samir Elkassem claimed first with a 49.83.
- In the 400 IM, Portello won with a 4:20.77, while sophomore Owen Markowitz took first on the men's side with a time of 4:04.63.
- Duke claimed the men's and women's 200 freestyle relays. On the women's side, Lanahan, sophomore Clare Logan, sophomore Kate Meyers-Labenz and junior Claire McLean won with a 1:34.34 time. On the men's side, Shue, freshman Owen Waibel, sophomore Alex Meyers-Labenz and Wong swam a 1:21.00 for first.
- Sophomore Keira Lu led the divers, logging first-place finishes in both the one-meter (323.78) and three-meter (348.38) events.
- Junior Charles Berman earned first in the one-meter dive (348.68), while senior Yannis Schattman claimed the three-meter win with a score of 402.00.

- Duke will face in-state rival North Carolina Oct. 17 inside Taishoff Aquatic Center. Diving is set to begin at 4 p.m., followed by swimming at 5 p.m.
