DURHAM, N.C. – An exciting battle between two 2025 NCAA Tournament Elite Eight teams is set for Durham as pairings for the 2025 ACC/SEC Challenge were unveiled Thursday afternoon, with Duke women's basketball slated to welcome LSU to Cameron Indoor Stadium Thursday, Dec. 4. Tipoff time and TV designations will be announced at a later date.
The Blue Devils and Tigers will match up for the sixth time all-time with the inter-conference contest marking the first in over a decade. Duke has won two straight against LSU and holds a one-game edge in the series, 3-2, which includes a 60-52 NCAA Tournament Second Round victory by the Blue Devils on March 22, 2010.
Duke is coming off a stellar 2024-25 season that saw the Blue Devils go 29-8 overall, finish the season ranked seventh nationally, win the program's ninth ACC Tournament title and advance to the Elite Eight for the 12th time. The Blue Devils return four starters and 10 letterwinners from a season ago, including All-ACC performers
Jadyn Donovan,
Toby Fournier and
Ashlon Jackson. Duke welcomes the nation's No. 4 freshman
Emilee Skinner into the fold as head coach
Kara Lawson enters her sixth season at the helm.
The Blue Devils are currently 1-1 in ACC/SEC Challenge games. Duke defeated Georgia in 2023 (72-63 OT) but fell to South Carolina, 81-70, in 2024. LSU is 2-0 in the challenge with wins over Stanford (94-88 OT) and Virginia Tech (82-64). The 2024 installment of the challenge was won by the SEC, going 10-6 across the two days.
