DURHAM, N.C. – The Duke volleyball team received the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Team Academic Award, as announced by the organization Monday. The honor marks the 21st time in program history, and sixth consecutive year, that the Blue Devils have received the recognition.
First instituted in 1992, the AVCA Team Academic Award goes to collegiate and high school volleyball programs that maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.30 for the academic year.
A total of 13 Blue Devils – Christina Barrow, Mailinh Godschall, Breonna Goss, Avery Hamlin, Lauren Ingram, Kerry Keefe, Millie Muir, Grace Penn, Nikki Quinn, Rachel Richardson, Sydney Tomlak, Nikki Underwood and Taylor Williams – garnered All-ACC Academic team recognition this year.
Duke volleyball opens its 2025 season by hosting an exhibition match against High Point on August 22 at 7 p.m., inside Cameron Indoor Stadium.
