DURHAM, N.C. – Former Blue Devil
Andrew McAdorey became the first rookie midfielder in Premier Lacrosse League history to earn First-Team All-PLL honors, headlining the list of four Blue Devils selected to the 2025 All-PLL Teams as announced by the league Wednesday.
Joining McAdorey as All-Pro selections are fellow first-team choices JT Giles-Harris,
Brennan O'Neill and Michael Sowers. It is the third all-pro nod for Giles-Harris, while Sowers garnered his second first-team recognition and McAdorey and O'Neill their first.
Giles-Harris, the 2022 Defensive Player of the Year, and O'Neill helped lead the Denver Outlaws to the PLL Championship, falling narrowly to New York Atlas 13-12. Turning in a highlight reel goals week in and week out, O'Neill finished the regular season seventh in the league in scoring with 34 points. He ranked fourth in the league with three two-point goals and fourth in overall goals.
Coming off a second first-team All-America nod with the Blue Devils, McAdorey turned in a fabulous rookie season with 24 points from 14 total goals (1 2pt) and nine assists. He ranked third in the league in scoring among midfielders, registering at least one point in nine of his 10 regular season outings.
Sowers once again was one of the league's top attackmen, finishing the year second in scoring with 41 points in the regular season. His 23 assists were tied for second in the league as the four-time all-star tallied at least two points in all 12 of his outings in 2025.
Duke had five players suiting up in the PLL Championship game this year with
Tyler Carpenter becoming the latest Blue Devil to take home the trophy.
