DURHAM, N.C. – Following a solid finish over the weekend at the Murphy USA El Dorado Shootout, the Epson Tour announced Tuesday that Duke graduate Laetitia Beck has mathematically locked in a spot inside the coveted top 15 of the Race for the Card standings, securing her LPGA Tour card for the 2026 season.
Beck was one of five who secured their card for next season -- Riley Smyth, Hailee Cooper, Minji Kang and Sophia Schubert. Heading into the season finale – the Epson Tour Championship at Indian Wells – 69 golfers remain mathematically eligible to earn an LPGA Tour card.
"It's exciting, obviously," said Beck. "I was there last year. It was disappointing to lose the card, so I have another chance to do well, and my goal is the Olympics in 2028, so that gives me a better chance to get some points for world rankings."
The Epson Tour Championship winner will receive an elevated 650 points, compared to the standard 500 points that are awarded for each event during the rest of the season. Five spots in the Race for the Card remain up for grabs in the tour championship, with Duke graduates Erica Shepherd (21) and Anne Chen (30) in the running.
A 2014 Blue Devil graduate, Beck last earned her LPGA Tour card in 2024 and previously competed on the LPGA from 2015-21. Beck, a native of Israel, was the first Israeli to compete in an LPGA event when she played in 2011. So far this season on the Epson Tour, Beck has totaled five top-10 finishes, including one victory at the Atlantic Beach Classic.
Last month, fellow Duke golfer Gina Kim earned her 2026 LPGA Tour card as well via the Epson Tour.
The official LPGA Card Ceremony will take place on Oct. 5, following the Epson Tour Championship at Indian Wells.
Epson Tour athletes finishing No. 1-10 on the Race for the Card points list will earn a 2026 LPGA status in Category 9, while those finishing 11-15 will earn Category 16.
