Kevin Leonard joined the Duke coaching staff in March 2023, and serves as a graduate assistant coach working primarily with the defense.
Prior to arriving in Durham, Leonard spent four seasons (2019-22) as a defensive analyst at Texas A&M University, working under Duke head coach Mike Elko. While with the Aggies, Leonard helped the program to a 30-17 (.638) record and three consecutive bowl game invitations from 2019-21. In 2021, Leonard helped mentor the defensive group to a No. 3 national ranking in scoring defense, allowing just 15.92 points per game, as well as the No. 9 pass efficiency defense (112.00) and No. 7 red zone defense (.710).
Leonard graduated from Texas A&M in 2022 with a bachelor’s degree in multidisciplinary engineering technology with a minor in embedded systems.
