Warner had a breakthrough year in the pole vault, placing third at the Penn Relays and also winning a bronze medal at the IC4A Outdoor Meet.Warner’s tie for third at the IC4A outdoor meet earned him All-East honors to go with the indoor All-East accolades he captured at the IC4A meet in Boston. Warner, who vaulted a personal best 16-4.75 both indoors and outdoors, is now third all-time in the pole vault for Duke.His third place finish in the ACC indoor meet won him All-ACC honors, leading him to the Rod Stewart award given to Duke’s most valuable field event performer.Due to his consistency inDuke’s three biggest outdoor meets (ACC’s, Penn Relays and IC4A’s) Warner narrowly captured the Duke Track outdoor MVPto complete a great sophomore year on the vault runway.
