Antonio Martinez joined Duke Athletic Medicine in 2025 and currently serves as an Athletic Training Fellow with the fencing program.
A native of Dunn, N.C., Martinez earned his Bachelor of Science in Exercise and Sport Science from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke and completed a Master of Science in Athletic Training at Western Carolina University.
His clinical experience includes rotations with Western Carolina women’s soccer, track & field and baseball, as well as a preseason stint with NC State football and a fall rotation with Duke men’s soccer and women’s tennis. Martinez also supported a variety of high school sports during his time at Pisgah High School.
He is a licensed athletic trainer in North Carolina and holds CPR certification.
