Cody Stratton joined the Duke women’s basketball staff as a video coordinator in August of 2023.
Stratton makes his way to Durham after serving as a graduate assistant with the men’s basketball program at Abilene Christian from 2021-23. During his time with the Wildcats, Stratton oversaw all aspects of the program’s video operations, utilizing SportsCode Elite to live code games and practices to produce output reports with analytical metrics.
Some of his other responsibilities included assisting the coaching staff on the floor during practices and workouts, creating and posting social media content as well as assisting the program’s director of operations with travel, summer camps and team community service events.
Before his stint at ACU, Stratton spent a year with Global Sports Analytics (GSA) where he served as the lead video scouting intern for several of the company's clients. With GSA, Stratton worked and consulted with FIBA professional basketball teams in Germany, Belgium and the EuroLeague, assisted with advanced scouting of opponents through video editing, play diagramming, creating analytics reports and created player scouting reports and breakdown videos of upcoming overseas rookies and free agents from NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NBA G League and overseas professional teams, among other things.
Prior to his time with GSA, Stratton spent three years as a student manager for the University of Central Missouri's men's basketball team. He has also served as a camp counselor at basketball camps with Iowa State, Creighton, and Drake.
Stratton graduated from Central Missouri with a bachelor’s degree in sports management with a minor in business administration in May of 2020, before going on to earn his master’s degree in management with a concentration in business analytics from Abilene Christian in May 2023.
