David Bradley, who has served on the Duke men’s basketball support staff for 15 years, enters his second as the program’s creative director. In this role, Bradley leads the unit that oversees the @DukeMBB social media strategy, messaging and branding. He also assists the coaching staff in recruiting.
Bradley has been involved with Duke’s branding and recruiting efforts for almost two decades, helping Duke Basketball become the most-followed program in college athletics. Bradley is tasked with keeping the Blue Devils at the forefront of social media strategy, recruiting, and former player relations.
With Bradley leading the charge, the Blue Devils streamlined their social media efforts in the fall of 2016 to bring Duke Basketball social media and branding under one umbrella, @DukeMBB. Previously, Bradley oversaw the successful Duke Blue Planet brand, managing the DBP social media channels, website and recruiting functions on a daily basis. Duke Blue Planet has since transitioned into a long-form video series showcasing the Duke Basketball program.

The West Simsbury, Conn., native earned a degree in sociology from Duke in 2004, graduating cum laude while working in the Duke Basketball office for three years. He served as the program’s director of basketball operations for four years before being elevated to the position of creative director in March 2018. Bradley has been on staff at Duke for the program’s last two national championships and published a book (“Worthy Champions”) after the 2010 title.
Bradley and his wife, Gina, assistant director of athletics for business operations at Duke, reside in Durham with their daughter, Quinn, son, Owen, and dog, Piper.
