Upcoming Event: Women's Tennis versus ITA All-American Championship on September 20, 2025

In 2016-17, nearly 1,300 students participated in 36 sports clubs, 23 of which qualified for regional and/or national competition while nine groups traveled to Germany, Hungary, Puerto Rico, California, Montana and Florida. In addition, group fitness participation reached over 42,000 members. On the facility usage front, the Wilson Recreation Center logged 384,500 entries while the Brodie Recreation Center had 176,485 admissions.
In February of 2018, Tittle was honored with a Samuel Dubois Cook Society Award, an honor presented by the Cook Society to individuals who help relations among people of all backgrounds at Duke University.Â
In addition, Tittle is a co-convener for the Physical Activity & Movement subcommittee which steers an initiative focusing on creating an environment that promotes exercise and mobility by students, faculty and staff on and off Duke’s campuses.
Tittle joined the Duke staff after serving as the Director of Campus Recreation at Florida Gulf Coast University since 2005. Her previous experience in college athletics also includes service at North Carolina Wesleyan College (Intramural Director), East Carolina University (Program Coordinator & Athletic Academic Coordinator) and St. Augustine's College (Fitness Specialist & Assistant Women's Basketball Coach).
A native of North Carolina, Tittle earned a bachelor of science degree in therapeutic recreation from Winston-Salem State University in 1997 and later received a master's degree in recreation and leisure facilities and service administration from East Carolina University in 2003.
