Henry Skutt joined the Duke Athletics staff in July of 2022 as an Assistant Director of Communications. In his role, he serves as the primary media contact for baseball and men's soccer, works in a secondary role with men’s basketball and assists with football.

Prior to his arrival in Durham, Skutt was an athletic communications graduate assistant at Ohio University from May 2021-June 2022. He was the primary contact for women’s soccer, women’s basketball, men’s golf and women’s golf.

During his undergraduate years at Virginia Tech, he was a sportswriter for The Key Play where he covered Hokie athletics.

Originally from Blacksburg, Va., Skutt graduated from Virginia Tech with a B.A. in Multimedia Journalism, Sports Media and Analytics in 2019, before earning a Master of Business Administration and Master of Sports Administration from Ohio University (2020-22).
