Mikaela Staton is the Chief of Staff for the Duke men’s basketball program. She joined the Blue Devils in February 2016 as a Game Operations Manager before the move to her current position in August 2021.
Staton was honored by her peers as the 2018-2019 Duke Athletics Excellence Award winner for demonstrating the true values of Duke Athletics in the office, on campus and in the community.
Prior to Duke, Staton worked as a Sports Facilities Assistant at Hofstra University for three and a half years. She also worked in the athletic marketing/promotions and development departments for various special events. In the summer of 2015, Staton served as the Coordinator for Volunteers for the 2015 NYC Triathlon where she oversaw 1,600 volunteers for race week.
Staton, a native of Bellmore, N.Y., received her Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Hofstra University in 2016.
