Duke Lands 5 on All-ACC Academic Wrestling Squad

DURHAM, N.C.- Duke University landed five student-athletes on the 2009-10 All-ACC Academic Wrestling Team, as announced on Thursday by ACC Commissioner John D. Swofford. Senior John Barone highlights the list for the Blue Devils as a four-time honoree.

Joining Barone are Mike Bell, Andrew Fulk, Voris Tejada and Peter Terrezza. The Blue Devils' five selections are the third most behind Virginia and Maryland. To be eligible for ACC All-Academic Team consideration, a student-athlete must have earned a 3.00 grade point average for the previous semester and maintained a 3.00 cumulative average during his academic career.

Earning repeat honors for Duke are Bell and Terrezza, who both garnered recognition for the second time in their careers. Barone was the lone senior on the list to have earned a spot on the All-ACC Academic Team for four seasons.
