Walter to Play in East-West All-Star Soccer Contest

DURHAM, N.C. - Duke University incoming freshman Katie Walter has been selected to participate in her second All-Star contest of the summer as she will play in the East-West All-Star Soccer game on Tuesday, July 20.
The match will be played at the UNC Greensboro Soccer Stadium in Greensboro, N.C., at 6:30 p.m. Walter will represent the East Team, which will face the West Team of All-Stars from the state of North Carolina.
Walter, who recently graduated from East Chapel Hill High School, is a three-time All-State honoree. She registered six goals and two assists as a senior before missing the end of the season due to an injury. An All-Region and All-Conference selection in her final year, Walter is also a NSCAA/Adidas Scholar All-America.
Last year, the East Team defeated the West, 3-1.
Walter recently played in the Clash of the Carolinas All-Star contest on July 9.
