Hammond, a Tulsa native, defeated Josh Wardell of the University of Florida 6-4, 6-1 in the opening round. In the second round, Hammond faced Robert Kelly of North Carolina and retired with the match tied at one set each.
McCall had a bye in the opening round before losing to Paul Oosterbaan of the University of Georgia 6-4, 6-2 in the second round.
Four Blue Devils begin play in qualifying singles on Monday, Sept. 29.
