MONTREAL, Quebec -- Freshmen RJ Barrett and Zion Williamson each had a double-double as Duke capped its three-game tour of Canada with a 103-58 victory over McGill University Sunday afternoon at Place Bell in Montreal.
A capacity crowd of 10,098, the third sellout to witness the Blue Devils in Canada, saw Williamson lead the way with 36 points, 13 rebounds, four assists, three steals and two blocks, while the Canadian-native Barrett poured in 23 with a game-high 10 assists.
The Redmen, who have already played four other NCAA Division-I teams this summer, hung tough in the opening 10 minutes and trailed just 22-17 after the first quarter. Alex Paquin led the way for McGill with 29 points and three assists.
Able to distance itself following the first quarter, Duke took a 47-34 lead into half and out-scored McGill 56-22 in the second half.
Javin DeLaurier and Joey Baker each added 10 points for the Blue Devils, while Jack White scored seven and pulled down seven boards. Jordan Goldwire had six points, five assists and three steals.
Williamson did his damage on 15-of-23 shooting from the field, while Barrett knocked down eight of 16.
Duke's two games in Toronto and one in Montreal drew a total 21,078 fans. The Blue Devils are set for one more night in Montreal and returns to Durham on Monday morning.
