AUSTIN, Texas – The Duke track & field team closed out the second day of competition Thursday at the 92nd Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays in Austin, Texas.

The multi-event athletes concluded the heptathlon as Kate Kutzer highlighted the performances for the Blue Devils.

Kutzer finished in 11th with a personal-best 4,971 points. In the final three events, Kutzer posted personal-best performances beginning with a sixth-place finish in the long jump with a mark of 5.74m. In the javelin, Kutzer notched another sixth place with a toss of 37.01 before closing out the heptathlon in the 800m with a time of 2:21.42.

Finishing just behind Kutzer was freshman Isabel Wakefield in 13th with 4,967 points. Wakefield finished 10th in the long jump with a distance of 5.65m before 28.25m toss in the javelin. In the 800m, Wakefield placed 13th in 2:26.55.

Sophomore Erin Marsh was unable to finish the heptathlon due to suffering an injury in the long jump. Despite the injury, Marsh posted personal-best performances in the two events she competed in. In the long jump competition, Marsh placed eighth with a 5.69m showing before a 32.75m distance in the javelin. Marsh did not compete in the 800m.

On the track, senior India Lowe qualified for the finals of the 400m hurdles as she posted a fifth-place finish in the prelims in a time of 59.05, which exceeds the ACC qualification standards.

In field events, Michael Marsack and Stefani Vukajlovic each finished sixth in their respective events. In the javelin, Marsack tossed the implement 63.42m before Vukajlovic's 62.25m distance in the hammer throw. Marsack and Vukajlovic both exceeded the conference qualification standards.

The Blue Devils will be back in action Friday for the third day of the Texas Relays.
