DURHAM, N.C. – Recent Duke graduate and All-America Honorable Mention recipient Isabel Ruby-Hill was selected to the Canadian U23 4- National Team by the Rowing Canada Aviron (RCA) last week and will compete at the World Championships in Sarasota-Bradenton, Fla., on July 24-28.
Athletes were selected based on performances at the 2019 Speed Orders and the 2019 NextGen National Team Selection Camp held earlier this month in Victoria, British Columbia.
Ruby-Hill will compete in the women's four boat this summer. The Toronto, Ontario, native earned a gold medal for Canada at the World Championships in Poland last summer, helping Canada clock a time of 6:04.610.
Ruby-Hill ended her Duke career having gone to two NCAA National Championships (2016, 2019) and finishing top-two at the ACC Championship twice (2016, 2019). This past season, the Blue Devils endured its best season in program history, earning its first ever gold medal at the ACC Championship (V4) while also capturing a school record four silver medals.
